CIVIS Online PrizeConditions of participationWith the European CIVIS Online Prize, the European CIVIS Media Prize is offering an additional award for journalistically-presented webpages on the theme of integration and cultural diversity. We are looking for innovative multi-media Internet offers of a high journalistic quality, which consider the theme in convincing fashion and are particularly suitable for the promotion of peaceful co-existence in the European immigration community.The CIVIS Online Prize will be awarded to journalistic Internet offers which are developed using graphics and multi-media which are ideally suited for the web.All formal forms are permitted. The accessibility of the webpages is decisive. The internet pages must be accessible with details of the exact web address in German or English. Complex portals or individual Internet contributions will not be accepted. All webpage providers (broadcasters, agencies, online and media companies) will be allowed to participate in the European CIVIS Online Prize which, at the time of the competition - from January 20, 2010 to April 30, 2010 are located in the European Union or Switzerland. The company stamp and the signature of the authorized representatives are required. The prize is endowed with 5,000 Euros. An independent international jury of online experts and leading journalists will ajudicate on the Internet offers taking part in the competition and select the prize-winners. The decision of the jury is final. Legal action is excluded. Registration Please note that your registration must be made online - making use of the online form on civismedia.eu. A brief description must be submitted for each web entry. Further information at: www.civismedia.eu. With the completed online registration form (PDF) you will be provided with a competition number (registration). For each webpage a correct Internet address (URL address) and a description of content must be submitted. The content can be described in a text with a minimum of 700 characters and no more than 2,000 characters. The description of the content must be submitted in German or English. The consent of all rights holders of the submitted webpages is a precondition for participation in the competition for the CIVIS Online Prize. The submitted webpages must be accessible during the observation period of the competition from January 20, 2010 to April 30, 2010, and may not be significantly modified during this period. The organizers will not refund any costs for the webpages submitted for the competition or financial expenditure associated with it. The CIVIS Medienstiftung (CIVIS Media Foundation) has the right to publicly reproduce the webpages submitted and, within the context of its reporting about the presentation of prizes to broadcast them or have them broadcast, free of charge, on radio and television and to make them available on the CIVIS webpages and the webpages of the cooperation partners of the CIVIS Medienstiftung (ARD, ZDF, ORF, SRG SSR idée Suisse, among others). In particular, texts, graphics, single images, photos, clippings etc., from the submitted webpages may be used by the CIVIS Medienstiftung and its cooperation partners in connection with the presentation of prizes and the reporting on this event. CIVIS can also grant these rights to third parties for the purposes of press and public relations activities. Registration for the CIVIS Online Prize 2010 constitutes acceptance of the above conditions of participation. Incomplete or incorrect information may result in disqualification from the competition. Legal action is excluded.
