Dr. Peter Frey, born in 1957 in Bingen am Rhein. Editor-in-chief of ZDF. 1978-1986 studied Political Science, Theory of Education and Spanish Philology in Mainz and Madrid.
Doctorate. 1978-1983 editor, reporter and presenter on radio of Südwestrundfunk in Baden-Baden and Mainz as well as editor with the Frankfurter Rundschau. Since 1983, ZDF editor and reporter for "heute-journal".
1988-1990 personal assistant of ZDF editor Klaus Bresser. Editing of the interview series "Was nun…?". 1991-1992 correspondent and deputy manager of the ZDF Studio Washington. Reporting from the Gulf War.
1992-1998 management and presentation of the ZDF programme "morgenmagazin". 1998-2001 Head of the ZDF central editorial department Foreign Affairs, presenter of the "Auslandsjournal" as well as numerous ZDF special broadcasts.
2001-2010 Head of the ZDF Capital Studio Berlin. Since April 2010 Editor-in-chief of ZDF. Presenter of "Berlin direkt", the ZDF summer interviews and the "Berliner Runde", commentaries and assessments for "heute" and "heute-journal". Publications.
