Bettina Schausten, born in 1965 in Lüdinghausen, Westphalia. Head of the ZDF Capital Studio Berlin. Studied Literature, History and Catholic Theology in Cologne and Munich. 1992 - 1998 freelance journalist for Bayerischer Rundfunk and Südwestfunk. 1996 switched to the ZDF, author and responsible editor for the early evening magazines “Abendmagazin” and “hallo Deutschland”. From 1997 to 1999, personal assistant to the then editor-in-chief Klaus Bresser. Managing editor of the ZDF series “Was nun, ...?” Presenter of “ZDF spezial” and election broadcasts. 1999-2002 presentation and direction of “ZDF-Morgenmagazin” in Berlin. 2003 Head of the central editorial department Interior, Social and Educational Policy of the ZDF. Since 2010 Head of the ZDF Capital Studio Berlin.
