Michael Radix, born 1957, head of the WDR europa-forum and executive director of the CIVIS Media Foundation. Studied politics and German language and literature in Freiburg. 1985-1988 freelance author and TV reporter. Since 1988 reporter and editor at Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) Television. 1989-1991 editor-in-chief of the political weekly review ZAK. 1991-1994 head of the television editorial group current affairs. Editor in charge of the ARD Brennpunkt and special programmes. 1992 lecturer at the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf. 1993-1994 temporary head of ARD Tagesschau/Tagesthemen North Rhine-Westphalia. 1994-2002 in the chief editorial for television, responsible for conception and development of new forms of information as well as new media and special projects. Since 2000 head of WDR europa-forum. 2002-2003 foreign correspondent in the television studio Brussels.
