Eva-Maria Michel, born in Schwäbisch-Hall. Legal advisor and Deputy Director-General of Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR). 1980 graduated in Public Administration. 1980-1984 Studied Jurisprudence at Heidelberg and Tübingen. 1985-1987 legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court, Stuttgart. 1988-1996 traineeship in the legal department of Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR). 1996 Legal advisor and Data Protection Officer at Saarländischer Rundfunk (SR). Since October 1997 legal advisor at Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR). Since January 2001 Chairperson of Legal Commission of ARD and ZDF. Since April 2001 member of the Supervisory Board of the Filmstiftung NRW (Film Foundation NRW). Since January 2008 Deputy Director-General. Chairperson of the General Meeting of Partners of the CIVIS Media Foundation for Integration and Cultural Diversity in Europe.
