The aim of the CIVIS Media Foundation is to sensitize the electronic media in Germany and Europe for the themes of integration and cultural diversity and to promote the innovative and professional treatment of developments in the European immigration society. The CIVIS Media Foundation has one Executive Director (ED). The ED is the responsible manager of the CIVIS Media Foundation and represents the company externally.

Michael Radix, born in 1957. Studied political science, German language and literature. State examinations and masters degree. 1985-1988 Freelance author and TV reporter. Since 1988 reporter and editor at Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR). 1989-1991 Head of the editorial office of the political weekly review ZAK. 1991-1994 Head of the television editorial group Current Affairs. Editor in charge of ARD-Brennpunkt and special programmes. 1992 Lecturer at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. 1993-1994 Temporary Head of ARD Tagesschau/Tagesthemen North Rhine-Westphalia. 1994-2002 in the chief editorial office for television, responsible for conception of new forms of information as well as new media and special projects. Since 2003 Executive Director of the CIVIS Media Foundation for Integration and Cultural Diversity in Europe. Partners of the CIVIS Media Foundation are Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), on behalf of the ARD, and the Freudenberg Foundation. The partners’ meeting sets the annual financial framework for the organization and decides on the programme and projects of the CIVIS Media Foundation.
Eva-Maria Michel, born in Schwäbisch-Hall. Legal advisor and Deputy Director-General of Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR). 1980 graduated in Public Administration. 1980-1984 Studied Jurisprudence at Heidelberg and Tübingen. 1985-1987 legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court, Stuttgart. 1988-1996 traineeship in the legal department of Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR). 1996 Legal advisor and Data Protection Officer at Saarländischer Rundfunk (SR). Since October 1997 legal advisor at WDR. Since January 2001 Chairperson of Legal Commission of ARD and ZDF. Since April 2001 member of the Supervisory Board of the Filmstiftung NRW (Film Foundation NRW). Since January 2008 WDR Deputy Director-General. Chairperson of the Partner's Meeting of the CIVIS Media Foundation.
Dr. Pia Gerber, Executive Director of the Freudenberg Foundation. Studied social education. Work with underprivileged teenagers and people with an immigration background, as well as in the area of "political education". Municipal commissioner for women. Second degree studies in politics and educational science at the University of Heidelberg. Publications. Afterwards, worked in education, as well as in the training of social specialists. Since 1999, has been working at the Freudenberg Foundation. In 2005 completed her doctorate parallel to her work. Since 2010 Executive Director of the Freudenberg Foundation and Member of the Partner's meeting of the CIVIS Media Foundation.
