Irmela Mensah-Schramm practically only leaves her apartment complete with brush, spray and nail polish remover. The 67-year-old uses them to cover neo-Nazi slogans, scrape away alien-hostile graffiti and tear down anti-semitic stickers. She refuses to be intimidated on her cleaning-up tours throughout Germany. Neither by death threats, nor by criminal charges for damage when she paints over extensive swastikas on house facades.
