Politicians and an incompetent administration promote the plight of refugees in Berlin. In pouring rain, refugees with young children stand and hope to be admitted. In front of the State Office of Health (LaGeSo) the conditions are comparable to those in refugee camps in war zones. Children and the sick are waiting for appointments, already at four o’clock in the morning. New refugees try to register, others need medical help and medicine. A system to provide appointments does not exist. Despite the alarming images the Berlin regional government has not got the problem under control.
