“Some day this terrible war will come to an end, some day we will be people once again and not only be Jews”, writes Anne Frank around 70 years ago in her diary. With an impressive ability to observe, wisdom and humour, she describes her life and everyday matters in the rear part of Amsterdam’s Prinsengracht 263. For more than two years she had hidden there with her family from the Nazis. Hans Steinbichler has interpreted the world-famous diary as a film. A moving, extraordinary portrait of a young girl.
