Arriving in Germany. The poetry slammer Nemi El-Hassan tells a moving story – the story of her life and that of her family, stuck between Brandenburg and the Lebanon War. Nemi’s story begins even before she is born. Her family flees Lebanon in 1991. They want to escape death and destruction and hope to find a new and safe home in Germany. It is her father’s, her mother’s and also her grandmother’s energy and courage that turn Nemi into a strong person.
