Executive Direction

The aim of the CIVIS Media Foundation is to sensitize the electronic media in Germany and Europe for the themes of integration and cultural diversity and to promote the innovative and professional treatment of developments in the European immigration society. The CIVIS Media Foundation has one Executive Director (ED). The ED is the responsible manager of the CIVIS Media Foundation and represents the company externally.

Partners of the CIVIS Media Foundation are Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), on behalf of the ARD, and the Freudenberg Foundation. The partners’ meeting sets the annual financial framework for the organization and decides on the programme and projects of the CIVIS Media Foundation.

Eva-Maria Michel, born in Schwäbisch-Hall. Dr. Pia Gerber, Executive Director of the Freudenberg Foundation. Studied social education. Work with underprivileged teenagers and people with an immigration background, as well as in the area of "political education". Municipal commissioner for women.
