The Advisory Board consists of twelve persons, who are professionally involved in the media field and hold responsible positions there. Exceptions are possible. The task of the Advisory Board is to examine the projects of the foundation and to make recommendations to the Executive Director and the Partners’ Meeting. The members of the Advisory Board work on an honorary basis.

Jona Teichmann, born in 1963 in Mettmann. Head of Programme Department for Regional Radio Programmes (WDR). Studied Journalism, History and Political Science. Thomas Baumann

Thomas Baumann, born in 1961 in Hof an der Saale. ARD editor-in-chief and coordinator for politics, social and cultural affairs. Studied political science, communication science and psycholinguistics in Munich. During his studies, he already worked as a sports reporter for the tabloid newspaper "tz" and on a freelance basis for the radio department of Bayerischer Rundfunk. After being awarded his masters degree, he worked as a reporter, planning editor and managing editor for the programmes "Bayernstudio", "Rundschau" and "Rundschaumagazin" at Bayerisches Fernsehen. Dr. Josef Eckhardt, born in 1932 in Budapest. Honorary member of the advisory board of the CIVIS media foundation. Media consultant. Studied philosophy, psychology and music sociology, 1968, doctorate. 1976-1997 media assistant of the Director-General of the WDR, since then freelance media consultant and director of the seminar for music sociology at the College of Music in Cologne. Verena Kulenkampff, born in 1952 in Essen.
