European CIVIS Television Prize
The European Television Prize is open to all television broadcasters within the European Union and Switzerland. The CIVIS Television Prize is awarded in the information and entertainment categories. The television entries must be submitted in either German, English or French or with an adequate translation of the original into one of these languages.
All broadcasts submitted to the European Prize from Germany also qualify for entry into the German CIVIS Television Prize. The German CIVIS Media Prize presents the national results of the European CIVIS Television Prize. Consequently, it is not necessary to submit duplicate entries to both the German and European CIVIS Television Prize.

European CIVIS Radio Prize
All radio stations within the European Union and Switzerland are eligible to submit German-language entries for the CIVIS Radio Prize for German-language radio programmes. The Radio Prize is awarded in both the short programme (up to 6 minutes) and long programme (from 6 minutes to a maximum of 120 minutes) categories.
Admitted are all forms and formats of radio programmes – for example, classical reports, features, portraits, radio dramas via interviews, comedies, and collages right through to interactive shows or sets of programmes with a common theme.

European CIVIS Online Prize
With the European CIVIS Online Prize, the European CIVIS Media Prize is offering an additional award for journalistically-presented webpages on the theme of integration and cultural diversity. We are looking for innovative multi-media Internet offers of a high journalistic quality, which consider the theme in convincing fashion and are particularly suitable for the promotion of peaceful co-existence in the European immigration society.
The CIVIS Online Prize will be awarded to journalistic Internet offers which are developed using graphics and multi-media which are ideally suited for the web.All formal forms are permitted. The accessibility of the webpages is decisive. The internet pages must be accessible with details of the exact web address in German or English.

Young CIVIS Media Prize
The Young CIVIS Media Prize is awarded as a European television and video prize. Entries to the competition are restricted to reports, documentaries, reportages or dramas which have been publicly aired in the period from January 21, 2012 to January 20, 2013 or which have been officially accepted as part of the final works in the main course of the subject of studies concerned. All formats and genres are permitted. The maximum age of entrants is 32 years.
Entries can be submitted for the European Young CIVIS Media Prize by all television companies in the EU and Switzerland. They may also be submitted by all film and television colleges, journalist schools, academies and colleges of journalism, communication and media.
