Nurettin Acar is a model citizen – having successfully integrated both professionally and socially into Swiss society. Born and raised as the son of a shepherd in Eastern Turkey, he learned German working on Swiss building sites. He then went on to attend commercial college whilst studying for a degree in Business Management via a correspondence course at the same time. Today he is a city councillor in Wil, St. Gallen.
