In this episode of her podcast “Unter Almans”, Salwa Houmsi talks with entertainer Parshad Esmaeili about racism in Germany. It’s about fear and anger after the attack in Hanau. Parshad explains how the assault changed her life and why anti-racism should be a school subject. Education is the antidote, she says, because no one is born a racist.

Excerpt from the jury’s statement
“Host Salwa Houmsi and her guest Parshad manage to make clear why the Hanau attack is significant far beyond the city and changed everyone’s lives. The conversation is natural, authentic and open-hearted and gives sufficient space to explore the different levels of experience. It’s as complex as it is entertaining.”
