It was only 13 minutes. And Georg Elser could have changed world history. 13 Minutes which were missing and prevented a bomb made by him from killing Adolf Hitler. But things turned out differently on 8th November 1939 in Munich’s Bürgerbräukeller: Because Hitler prematurely left the scene of the attack – and Elser failed. Director Oliver Hirschbiegel tells the gripping story of Georg Elser: the background of the failed attack, the historical circumstances – right through to Elser’s last days in Dachau.
